Popular Production Alloys

Fast Mover Alloy Listing

Our most popular cast copper alloys are also the ones where our turnaround times and time-to-ship, are excellent. These alloys are cast using , either Centrifugal or Continuous Casting methods, dependng on the customers more exact needs.

The data below is presented using the BS 1400 designations as the reference, and for each we provide the equivalent UNS, and EN designations, or best nearest match. Sometimes we provide a non-match which might be considered superior, and an interesting alternative.

How to Read the Data

The first lines of the table, tells us:

  • One of our fast moving alloys is AB1
  • For reference we provide its chemical composition
  • It has one near equivalents: C95210
  • It has an interesting alternative to consider:C95400
  • It has an exact equivalent in CC331G

We can typically ship these round and hollow bar semi-finished copper alloy castings within a matter of days, even hours. For more complex cross-sections in the continuous casting, this will add on at least 2-3 weeks, as we must then fashion the dies to provide the cross-section.

Symbols Used

Please take note that in the data presented below:

  • '*' indicates - this alloy has been registered with the U.S. EPA as Antimicrobial.
  • '~' indicates - this is a nearest equivalent alloy match and there are differences in the composition of which to be aware.
  • '#' indicates - Lead Free - designed to maintain the mechanical properties of the Lead (Pb) containing original, but now safe and free of Lead (Pb).
  • 'GC' is short for Continuous Casting
  • 'GZ' is short for Centrifugal Casting
  • 'Rem' stands for Remainder, a synonym for Balance
  • Values are given as maximum percentages, unless shown as a range or explicitly stated as minimum
  • '%' refers to % by mass
